Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for Power & Heat, Industry, and Rail Applications

Customized protection plans for new, used, and refurbished engines and systems – the specific warranty duration and covered components can be individually agreed upon with you.

ESC for new engines

For Cat engines and Cat power generators, coverage from 24 to 60 months is available, provided the original manufacturer’s warranty has not yet expired.

ESC for used engines (Advantage ESC)

The Extended Service Coverage (ADV) is available after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty, with terms ranging from 12 to 60 months – provided the first overhaul has not yet been performed. The engine must not exceed 120 months of age (including the Advantage term). A prerequisite for Advantage ESC is an inspection (TA1 Inspection) of the engine, conducted according to Cat guidelines by an authorized Cat dealer

ESC for overhauled engines (Overhaul ESC)

For overhauled engines and power generators, coverage is available with terms ranging from 12 to 60 months. The coverage is contingent on the overhaul being completed by an authorized Cat dealer and approved in accordance with OVH overhaul documentation.

Extended Service Coverage (ESC) for Marine Engines and Systems

We offer a range of warranty options for marine engines and systems to ensure maximum protection for your ship operations. Let us help you find the right solution – all options can be customized to meet your specific requirements. Furthermore, we offer Platinum Protection for all components supplied with a Cat part number.

ESC for new Engines

Coverage for marine diesel engines and power generators ranges from 24 to 60 months and can be extended by another 12 months, as long as the original manufacturer’s warranty is still valid.

ESC for used engines (ESC Plus)

Extended Service Coverage is offered for 12 to 60 months after the manufacturer’s warranty ends and can be extended by a further 12 months, as long as the first overhaul has not been carried out. A qualified inspection following the ACI protocol by an authorized Cat dealer is required.

ESC for overhauled engines (Overhaul ESC)

Coverage for overhauled engines is available for a period of 12 to 60 months, with the option of 12-month extensions for marine diesel engines and power generators. This coverage requires maintenance to be performed by an authorized dealer, with final approval in accordance with the OPC work protocol.

Platinum coverage for enhanced onboard security

Platinum Protection includes all factory-delivered components with Cat part numbers, such as:

Cooling, fuel, lubrication, and electrical systems
Generator ends (specific to power generators)
Intake and exhaust systems
Short block
Cylinder head
Front and rear covers
Optional additional protection services
