Our large heat pumps start at a thermal output of 500 kW and are flexibly adapted to your needs. They are ideal for large systems and deliver exactly the required performance through their scalability.
We utilize various heat sources such as air, geothermal energy, groundwater, drinking water, river water, wastewater, process waste heat, and waste heat from, for example, data centers. The heat sink temperatures range from 50°C to 145°C, while the source temperatures can vary between 0°C and 100°C. We use both natural and synthetic refrigerants.
These versatile features make our heat pumps particularly efficient and adaptable to different requirements and application areas.

The functioning of a heat pump, explained simply

The heat pump extracts heat from a natural heat source, such as air, ground, or water, even at low outside temperatures.

A liquid refrigerant in the evaporator of the pump absorbs the heat and is thereby converted into a gaseous state.

The gaseous refrigerant is compressed in the compressor. This increase in pressure causes the temperature of the refrigerant to rise significantly.

The now hot, gaseous refrigerant releases its heat to the heating system. As it cools down, the refrigerant condenses back into a liquid state.

In the expansion valve, the liquid refrigerant is expanded, causing its temperature to drop. It can then absorb heat from the surroundings again, and the cycle starts over.
