What is the significance of decentralized power supply for industrial companies?
Industrial companies use power generation systems such as combined heat and power (CHP) plants or cogeneration systems (KWK) to generate electricity, heat, or cooling, depending on the company's needs. The generated electricity is used to supply production facilities, lighting, office buildings, and other electrical consumers. The waste heat produced is efficiently utilized to generate heat for process heating, steam production, space heating, or air conditioning. In some cases, the waste heat can also be used for cooling, either directly or through absorption chillers.
