Innovative solutions for uninterrupted power supply for data centers
Maximum data security with our energy systems and emergency power solutions
Especially in data centers, power outages, and network disruptions can cause significant damage and have serious impacts on business processes and customers. Therefore, data centers must have a highly robust power supply that is available 24/7 and ensures the continuous operation of IT infrastructure.
At Zeppelin Power Systems, we take responsibility for the system and offer complete solutions that reliably supply your data center and protect your data. We implement customized power generation systems – combined heat and power (CHP) plants, cogeneration (KWK) systems, and emergency power supply to provide the necessary security. Our powerful Cat generators, with power ranges up to 4,000 kVA, deliver the required power.
With decades of experience, we support you not only with hardware but also as a general contractor, from planning and construction to service.

Efficient energy generation solutions for data centers
Show all Solutions for Power & HeatCombined heat and power (CHP) plants and cogeneration systems can supply a portion of the power demand for data centers. The waste heat from power generation can be used for heating or converted into cooling through absorption chillers to cool the server rooms. We provide turnkey CHP plants and cogeneration systems for the combined generation of electricity, district heating, process heat, process steam, or cooling.
Combined heat and power plants (CHP plants)
CHP systems (BHKWs) provide data centers with an efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly energy source. They are scalable and can enhance the cost-effectiveness of energy generation in data centers.
Combined heat and power (CHP)
CHP is relevant for data centers as it simultaneously generates electricity and heat. This improves energy efficiency, reduces costs, and increases the reliability of the power supply.
Key benefits for your organization
Tailored solutions
Our training content is tailored to the needs and requirements of the participants to ensure they receive relevant and practical information.
We handle the complete engineering
We handle the entire engineering process, from the design of water, oil, air, and fuel systems to electrical planning. This includes P&ID flow diagrams, CAD designs, assembly in Achim, and factory testing. The day tank, control panel, and exhaust silencer are integrated into the system, including documentation and operating manuals.
Global service network
Our global service network is available 24/7, enabling quick on-site deployments. Additionally, we offer preventive maintenance with detailed inspections of emergency power systems, sensors in tank systems, as well as exhaust cleaning and switchgear systems.
Emission-optimized and future-ready
The exhaust cleaning meets requirements that go beyond TA Luft standards. Through SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), catalysts, or diesel particulate filters, project-specific requirements can be implemented.

Powerful Cat generators for your data center

Highly flexible and scalable
With our generators, you are secure: With a power range of 200 to 4,000 kVA, our generators provide a reliable and continuous power supply.
Cat generators can be installed in various sizes and configurations, depending on the requirements of the data center. They offer a scalable and flexible backup power solution that can be tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the data center.
Zeppelin Power Systems Solutions for Power & Heat
Container solutions for emergency power systems and decentralized energy plants

For greater flexibility, we offer our power generation systems and emergency power systems as mobile or stationary container solutions. The energy system and complete equipment are installed in an ISO container, which can be placed flexibly next to the building or on the roof in front of the data center.
Container solutions provide data centers with a flexible, quick, and cost-effective way to secure and optimize their power supply. They allow for modular scaling and fast installation.

Reliable power supply for your data center
A data center is used for storing, processing, and distributing data, as well as supporting IT infrastructures. Data centers house servers, storage systems, network components, and other IT devices that are essential for the operation of businesses, organizations, and Internet services.
How are data centers powered?
Data centers are typically connected to the public power grid, which provides the primary supply and is normally used as the first source of power. In the event of a power failure or disruption in the public power supply, backup generators come into play. Zeppelin Power Systems has extensive expertise in the construction of turnkey emergency power systems for data centers and is your reliable partner.
Emergency generators, also known as backup power units, serve as a backup power supply for data centers and are used to ensure a continuous power supply during outages in the public grid. These generators are usually automatically activated as soon as a power interruption is detected and can supply the data center with electricity until the main power supply is restored.
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is a key component in data centers, designed to maintain a continuous power supply during power failures or other disruptions. A UPS consists of batteries that automatically take over in the event of a power failure, providing electricity to the critical loads of the data center until the backup generator is activated or the main power grid becomes available again.
Why is a reliable power supply so important for data centers?
Continuous Operation
Data centers must operate continuously to ensure the availability of services and data for users. Any interruption in the power supply can lead to downtime, which can impact productivity and result in financial losses.
Data Security and Integrity
A continuous power flow is critical for the security and integrity of the data stored in a data center. Interruptions or power outages can lead to data loss or damage to data storage, which can have serious consequences for businesses and organizations.
Operation of Critical Systems
Data centers often host critical systems and applications that must run continuously to support business-critical functions. These include, for example, financial transactions, communication services, medical records, and many other applications that require uninterrupted power supply.
Continuous Operation of Cooling and Climate Systems
Data centers generate large amounts of heat due to the activities of servers and other electronic devices. An uninterrupted power supply ensures that the cooling and climate systems of the data center can continue to operate during power outages or fluctuations, maintaining optimal operating temperatures and preventing overheating.
