Maintenance kits for optimal performance of your ballast water treatment system

Optimarin maintenance kits
Optimarin requires regular maintenance for your ballast water treatment system at 2.5-year intervals. To support this, we provide comprehensive maintenance kits with installation kits. Maintenance can be carried out by the trained onboard crew themselves or in collaboration with our service technicians worldwide.
Easy execution by the onboard crew
Our comprehensive maintenance manuals and training programs ensure that the onboard crew can perform the maintenance tasks themselves. This saves time and costs and ensures that your system is always in optimal condition.
Benefits of regular maintenance
- Regular maintenance ensures that your system operates optimally and meets the stringent requirements of the IMO and USCG ballast water conventions.
- By performing regular maintenance, wear on parts is detected early, significantly extending the lifespan of your system.
- Regular maintenance helps prevent unexpected failures and costly repairs, thereby maximizing the availability of your system.
- Regular maintenance documents the proper upkeep of your system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensure USCG standards: Annual inspection for your ballast water treatment system

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) requires an annual inspection for ballast water treatment systems (BWTS), known as the Annual Check-Up or Annual Compliance Inspection. This inspection is necessary to ensure that the system complies with the established standards and regulations, preventing the spread of invasive species in U.S. waters.
Zeppelin Power Systems conducts these check-ups and ensures that your system is compliant with regulations. You can directly order the check-up from us.
Services of the Annual Compliance Inspection
System Function Tests: Checking the function of all essential components of the BWTS, including filters, UV lamps, pumps, and control systems.
Performance Verification: Measuring and analyzing the system performance to ensure it effectively meets all requirements for the removal or inactivation of organisms in ballast water.
Monitoring and Calibration: Checking the monitoring and measuring devices, as well as calibrating them to ensure accurate data on system performance.
Documentation Review: Reviewing operational records and maintenance documentation to ensure all required inspections, maintenance, and repairs have been properly carried out and documented.
Visual Inspection: Conducting a visual inspection of the entire system to detect signs of wear, damage, or corrosion that could affect performance.
Safety Check: Reviewing all safety measures and emergency procedures to ensure the system is operating safely and in compliance with regulations.
A water test, also required, must be performed by a certified laboratory on-site.

Fast delivery, top quality: Original spare parts for Optimarin ballast water treatment systems

We are an official partner of Optimarin and provide a comprehensive and quickly available range of original spare parts for your ballast water treatment system.
Spare parts for Optimarin BWTS
Filter baskets/ filter candles: These are essential for the removal of microorganisms, sediments, and other contaminants from ballast water. We supply original filter baskets or filter candles for Optimarin filters to ensure the highest efficiency and performance.
UV lamp units: These play a critical role in the disinfection process of ballast water treatment. Our UV lamps ensure effective disinfection and compliance with legal standards and regulations.
Pumps and valves: These important components are responsible for flow control and distribution of ballast water within the BWTS. We offer comprehensive repair kits for components to ensure consistent and effective system operation.
Monitoring and electrical components: Data about the performance and condition of the ballast water system is crucial and controls all processes during the cleaning process. Our product range includes all components from sensors, transmitters, control panels, software updates, and the power supply for UV lamps.
Tools and accessories: Specialized tools and accessories are essential for the proper maintenance and repair of the BWTS and are included in the spare parts program at Zeppelin Power Systems
Cleaning: Dirty quartz sleeves of the UV lamps reduce disinfection performance and increase the time and energy required for ballast water treatment. CLEANING IN PLACE (CIP) is an Optimarin system that automatically and environmentally cleans the sleeves when needed. Zeppelin Power Systems also offers comprehensive support for assembly, service, and spare parts.
