Zeppelin Power Systems (Germany and Austria) has concluded a full service maintenance contract with Viking River Cruises AG, the largest provider of river cruises worldwide. The contract runs from April 2017 and covers a 24-hour service by more than 40 vessels with more than 200 Cat engines, plying the routes from Amsterdam to the Black Sea. Zeppelin Power Systems formed its own team for the maintenance contract, within the Zeppelin Operation Center.

Since 2011, Zeppelin Power Systems has supplied Cat engines for vessels belonging to the Swiss company Viking River Cruises, and has carried out much of the warranty and service work. The full service contract that has been concluded enables the Zeppelin Operation Center to provide 24-hour customer service and very quick availability of technicians and spare parts. These services are provided thanks to a close-knit network of specialist service staff in partnership with Zeppelin Austria. Zeppelin Power Systems also guarantees maximum availability, which means high protection against risk for the customer.

Together with Viking River Cruises, Zeppelin Power Systems has completed around 50 new constructions with some 250 Cat engines at Neptun Werft. “Based on our excellent, long-standing relationship, we are pleased to say that we have now concluded a full service contract with Viking River Cruises, which we have tailored to best meet the needs of our customer,” said Volker Poßögel, Managing Director of Zeppelin Power Systems.
