Hamburg. At the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, construction materials machinery, mining machinery, construction vehicles and construction equipment, Zeppelin Power Systems will be providing advice on drive systems and services. At booth 336 in hall A4, the team of experts will present high-performance diesel engine technology for EU emission stage V and showcase the Caterpillar C3.6 IOPU, C7.1, C9.3B, C13B and C18 engines. Zeppelin Power Systems is also working on a prototype of a hydrogen-based mobile fuel cell power unit. This is based on a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell that generates energy with hydrogen and is used in combination with an energy storage system (battery). In addition to CO2 emissions, nitrogen oxides, fine dust as well as noise and vibrations are avoided.
Increased performance and fuel flexibility of Stage V engines.
All off-road engines offered by Zeppelin Power Systems comply with global emissions standards and feature diesel particulate filter technology, among other features. The reliable technology of the Stage V engines includes a sophisticated system for exhaust gas aftertreatment. The new generation of C9.3B and C13B diesel engines impress with reduced fuel consumption and significantly higher power output than their predecessors. All drive systems are 100% HVO (hydrogenated vegetable oil) compatible without further modifications and can also be run on a bio-diesel admixture.
